Recipe Philly is a first-of-its-kind restaurant concept: a full-service dining experience based on the principles of Heirloom Hospitality. Our menu is built from real family recipes, surfaced through a citywide competition and accompanying TV series. The food here means something. So does the team behind it.
We’re seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations Manager to help build and support the operational foundation of the restaurant ahead of our August 2026 opening.
This is primarily an operations and administrative role focused on reporting, organization, financial coordination, and behind-the-scenes execution. For candidates with hospitality, networking, or community engagement experience, there may also be opportunities for additional compensated responsibilities tied to guest experience and brand ambassador initiatives.
Desired start date: mid- to late-June 2026, ahead of our August opening.
You’ll help ensure the restaurant runs smoothly behind the scenes with accurate reporting, organization, and administrative support.
- Maintain daily financial and operational reporting (sales snapshots, logs, and summaries)
- Manage daily banking, including deposits and cash handling
- Track invoices, payroll inputs, and tip distribution reporting
- Oversee internal logs (coolers, inventory, and compliance-related records)
- Support ordering and vendor coordination
- Lead onboarding for new hires and maintain employee records
- Manage uniform inventory and distribution
Optional Expanded Responsibilities (Community & Brand Ambassador Track)
For candidates interested in a more guest-facing or community-oriented role, additional opportunities may be available, including:
- Supporting local marketing and awareness initiatives
- Building relationships with nearby businesses and community partners
- Assisting with special events and promotions
- Helping coordinate reservations and guest communications
- Occasionally supporting the host stand during peak periods or special events
These responsibilities are not required for the core operations role and will include additional compensation depending on experience and scope.
What We’re Looking For
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable managing operational and financial reporting
- Reliable, proactive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Tech-comfortable with Google Workspace, Excel, Word, etc.
- Professional and trustworthy with confidential information
- Restaurant, hospitality, or administrative experience preferred
- Bonus: experience with Toast POS
Reporting Structure
This role reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with ownership.
