Position Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Designer to join our team and contribute to the creation of compelling designs that align with specific requirements. As a Junior Designer, you will collaborate closely with a Senior Designer to produce work of the highest quality. In this role, your creativity and meticulous attention to detail will be crucial. Key Responsibilities:
- Support on creating impactful creative concepts and design direction from initial brief to final production
- Ability to apply creative direction, aesthetics, and design output across a variety of projects, brands, and mediums
- Execute the development and direction of visual mood boards, brand tone/imagery, and style guides
- Execute creative feedback and direction with internal and external partners across production processes
- Partner with Creative and Strategy to generate impactful and visual presentations
- Continue to build networks and relationships with creative collaborator/talent recommendations
- Foster and support Recess’s relationships with clients, understand client vision/direction, and present designs and concepts.
- Assess client needs and translate those needs into successful visual designs that deliver effective creative solutions
- Leverage experience and internal partners to make decisions and recommendations around presentation, illustrative style, typography, page layout, display, navigation, etc.
- Gather specifications from project team members to determine graphic scope, depth, and focus
- Partner with project team members to ensure deadlines are met and tasks completed
- Maintain a high level of technical and graphic design expertise in a variety of multimedia platforms.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of technical document layout and design discipline.
- Knowledge of photography and photographic techniques.
- Knowledge of visual arts design, character design, and production techniques.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing with vendors, internal clients, subject matter experts and evaluation specialists on the design of training programs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and meet established expectations and timelines.
- Ability to revise or develop training materials including lesson plans, student reference materials, and multimedia presentations utilizing computerized software (e.g., MS PowerPoint).
- Skill using industry standard design and modeling tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Animate, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, Unity, 3D Studio Max, Maya).
