REC is partnering with a well-established, nationally recognized engineering consulting firm to identify a Senior Project Engineer specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure. This individual will play a key role in delivering complex pipeline and conveyance projects across the Western U.S., with a strong emphasis on Colorado and neighboring markets.

You’ll collaborate with senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams to grow the firm’s water practice, while mentoring staff and contributing to strategic initiatives.
🔧 What You’ll Do- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water/wastewater conveyance and pipeline projects
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget
- Develop proposals, statements of qualifications, and project execution strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with public sector utility clients
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to engineers and support staff
- Support business development efforts and identify new project opportunities
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards and internal procedures
- Stay current on industry trends and innovations, recommending improvements where applicable
- Represent the firm through industry events and professional organizations
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- PE license (Colorado and/or California, or ability to obtain)
- 10 years of experience in consulting engineering, focused on water/wastewater infrastructure
- Proven success managing projects, clients, and teams
- Strong background in planning, design, and construction oversight
- Demonstrated ability to drive business development and client growth
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Expertise in pipeline/conveyance systems is highly desirable
