What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Assistant or Technician - Eye Care position at REC?
Prior experience in an Ophthalmic or Optometric office is required...COA or COT is preferred.
Working knowledge should include but not be limited to: Cataract, Glaucoma, Refractive and General patient workups, Manual Refraction, Manual Tonometry, Manual Keratometry, Humphrey Visual Field, Ziess OCT, IOL Master, medication reconciliation, entering data and navigating an Electronic Health Record.
Interacting with patients and physicians in a professional and courteous manner is a daily occurrence. Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
We are looking for career oriented individuals wanting to advance their knowledge and certification in Ophthalmic eye care while providing excellent patient care.
Long periods of standing may be necessary.
Ability to type 40 w/m and basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.
