Reporting to the SVP, Associate General Counsel, this position is responsible for managing the examination process for all state examinations, including the review of initial questionnaires, materials and assignments. This role delegates request items to appropriate internal departments and compiles responses and documentation to complete exam requests and facilitate on-site and remote examinations. This position collaborates with stakeholders and manages the client audit process, ensuring all examination materials and requests are provided in accordance with the assigned deadline. 

Additionally, this role researches, drafts, and reviews documents while overseeing team projects and initiatives, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and quality standards are met. This position manages expectations for outside vendors and drives client meetings independently, ensuring key takeaways are communicated to senior leadership on system, process, and procedure enhancements.

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Law or related field preferred
  • Certification from an accredited paralegal program is preferred
  • 5 years’ experience working at a law firm or in-house legal department, mortgage servicing, consumer financial, foreclosure, or real estate
  • 3 years’ experience within the mortgage servicing, consumer financial services, foreclosure, or real estate industries
  • Previous experience managing people and leading teams, and overseeing budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience with Black Knight programs, including MSP and LoanSphere, or similar software, required
  • Strong skills and experience in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships across the organization to influence and drive required results

Compensation

  • The hiring range for this position is between $84,000.00-$90,000.00 annually
  • This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
