Who You Are
The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) will serve as the primary liaison for patients, ensuring an exceptional experience through efficient and empathetic coordination of care. The PCC acts as a backup to the primary front office assistant and will manage a wide range of administrative and customer service tasks to support both patients and clinical staff. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple systems with a high level of accuracy.
Longmont Position:Specifically for the Longmont office opening, this individual will support our dental office clinic and staff.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, appointment scheduling, and follow-up communications. Support patient onboarding and education, including pre-visit instructions, forms, and follow-up care plans.
- Provide backup support to the front desk and other team members as needed. Serves as the acting front office associate when the primary front office assistant is out of office sick or on planned vacation.
- Provide timely and compassionate responses to patients via phone, email, and patient portal. Accurately schedule and confirm appointments across multiple locations and specialties, ensuring coordination between providers and patients.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations or referrals as needed. Coordinates and track outbound referrals and diagnostic testing.
- Collaborate with providers and internal departments to ensure all necessary documentation, records, and test results are available for patient visits. Proactively communicates appointment details, preparation instructions, and necessary documentation to patients. Ensure all documentation is compliant with HIPAA regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Monitor and manage task queues and communications in multiple EMRs.
- Take payments and manage card-on-file contracts in accordance with clinic policies.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma required; GED or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications & Competencies:
- Medical Office Experience Preferred but not required.
- Customer Service Experience
- Maintains professionalism in the work place and fosters a respectful & diverse work environment.
