B. SCOPE
Stockers will pack, organize and track inventory. They will arrange items by category and deliver them to different aisles, bins and shelves for shopper accessibility. Stockers make note of which products are running low and help determine when to place a new inventory order or move items from storage to display. Stockers also clean up packaging after placing items on the shelves. Stockers are assigned duties outside of working with customers at the register. Applicants must be 18 .
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform general stocking duties on a daily basis including storing and stocking products in/on bins, pallets, shelves, racks, and refrigerators
- Move, handle, and transport product, material, or supplies to store product locations.
- Load, unload, and move heavy, bulky products
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards (including backroom and shelves), and dispose of trash
- Help and assist customers in finding merchandise and providing them with information
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Follow safety policies and procedures, and encourage colleagues to do the same
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have skills in accuracy and attention to detail, including timely follow-up in expediting exceptions
- Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
- Effective interpersonal and communications skills.
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand for long hours
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy loads of 75 pounds in a physical environment
- Must be able to work 100% of the time moving about in the work area
- Ability to perform work tasks while bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching
- Previous experience in receiving, handling, and stocking in retail or warehouse/distribution environments preferred
Compensation for this position is between $40,000 and $50,000.
