About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior System Administrator that leads all Systems Administration and Helpdesk functions while providing hands-on technical expertise and guiding the daily work of junior IT team members. This role plays a key part in maintaining a secure, reliable, and scalable technology environment that supports Rebel Athletic operations. The ideal candidate excels with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Shopify, Freshservice, and security governance, and thrives in a fast-paced setting where problem solving is a daily sport.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor System Administrators and Helpdesk team members
• Oversee daily IT operations, escalations, and workload prioritization
• Develop IT processes, SOPs, documentation, and training materials
• Serve as the top technical escalation point for system and infrastructure issues
• Manage Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
• Administer Entra ID identity management (MFA, SSO, conditional access, governance)
• Oversee Intune device management and user lifecycle administration
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives including phishing and spam awareness training
• Manage email security and threat protection platforms
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, patch compliance, and system hardening
• Administer Shopify accounts, permissions, and platform integrations
• Manage Freshservice workflows, automations, and asset management
• Support additional SaaS platforms and integrations across the business
• Lead upgrades, migrations, and automation projects across IT systems
• Maintain IT documentation, standards, and architecture records
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 advanced technical support to the organization
Qualifications
• 5 years of Systems Administration experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Expertise with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Windows/macOS, and security governance
• Experience administering phishing/spam training tools, Freshservice, and Shopify
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and escalation-management skills
• Valid driver’s license if travel between Rebel Athletic locations is required
Preferred Qualifications
• PowerShell scripting or automation experience
• Experience with Zero Trust architecture, MFA, or conditional access design
• Exposure to SIEM/SOC operations
• Relevant Microsoft or security certifications
Working Conditions
This role operates in a professional office and warehouse environment with occasional travel between Rebel Athletic locations. The position may require after hours availability for system maintenance, urgent issues, or high priority project work.
