Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
• Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and quality
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food prep stations and storage
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards
• Support catering events and special functions with meal preparation and service
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth kitchen operations
• Use knife skills effectively for chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients

Experience

• Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
• Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service
• Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is a plus
• Strong kitchen experience within the food industry or culinary environment
• Knowledge of food service operations, including serving and food presentation skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in knife skills and meal assembly processes
