Role Description:
This role is for individuals with a strong background in luxury items and outstanding technical knowledge in the industry. Our authentication team is a crucial area within our organization where we validate that the items in our inventory meet our customers' expectations. While this position is not client-facing, it is integral to our mission of providing a high-end customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Authenticate luxury pre-owned handbags from marquee luxury brands (eg. Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, etc.)
- Mentor Junior Authenticators and our team at large
- Assist in establishing authentication guidelines and standards per brand, model, style, etc.
- Assist in refining authentication processes to enable accurate and expedient recognition of anomalies
- Assist in continuously developing content and resources around authentication
- Perform and support any other ad-hoc duties as assigned within the Authentication team scope
Requirements
- 5 years of established luxury authentication experience is required across various brands
- Positive and focused energy, with a team-spirited attitude
- Intensely detail-oriented, precise, with an analytical mindset
- Familiar with technology and able to assist in defining processes that utilize technology
- Educational mindset with an ability to attain, compile, and share knowledge with the team
- A hands-on attitude; hard-working and can work in a fast-paced environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ambition and desire to grow and coach others
- Category of expertise (Handbags is preferred, but Shoes, and/or Apparel is a plus)
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs based on needs of the role.
Salary range: $65 - 80K
