What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist – Mazak Integrex Setup (Mill-Turn) position at Reata Engineering & Machine Works?
We’re looking for a high-level setup machinist who can take ownership of complex jobs on Mazak Integrex mill-turn machines — from setup through production.
This is not a button-pushing role. You’ll be working on tight-tolerance, multi-axis parts across medical, aerospace, and defense.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Full setups on Mazak Integrex (mill-turn) machines
- Setting up multi-axis (turning live tooling milling) operations
- Installing and qualifying tooling, workholding, and fixtures
- Dialing in feeds, speeds, and toolpaths for complex geometries
- Running first articles and transitioning jobs into production
- Reading prints and holding tight tolerances
- Troubleshooting issues and improving processes
What We’re Looking For
- Direct experience setting up Mazak Integrex or similar mill-turn machines
- Strong understanding of multi-axis machining (C/Y axis, live tooling)
- Ability to read complex prints and hold tight tolerances
- Someone who can think, troubleshoot, and take ownership
Preferred (not required):
- Experience editing Mazatrol or G-code
- Exposure to CAM (Mastercam, Esprit, etc.)
