Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations in our pallet manufacturing and recycling facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, manufacturing or logistics experience, and the ability to manage people, production, and resources effectively. This role is 100% on-site and requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production and recycling operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Lead, train, and motivate team members to meet production goals and maintain high performance standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, finished pallets, and recycled materials.
- Coordinate with sales, logistics, and customer service teams to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive productivity and continuous improvement.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Control operational costs while maximizing efficiency and resource utilization.
- Identify process improvements to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous management or supervisory experience in manufacturing, recycling, logistics, or a related industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Working knowledge of safety standards, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); ERP or production software experience is a plus.
- Forklift and equipment knowledge preferred.
- Ability to speak English and Spanish is a plus.
