Foreperson
ReArch Construction’s geography is growing in Southern Vermont and New Hampshire, and we are seeking Forepersons for our growing project base in Lebanon, NH and the Burlington, VT area. Reporting to ReArch’s Director of Field Operations and working under the supervision of the site Superintendents, the Foreperson assists with overseeing specific groups of workers or subcontractors on midsize to large commercial construction projects. In this role, you’ll work closely with workers and other supervisors to ensure that work is being done safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards; assign tasks and monitor progress; and report any issues or concerns to the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent. The Foreperson is also responsible for ensuring that workers have the necessary tools, equipment, and materials to complete their tasks. The typical pay range for this position is $36-42/hour depending on experience.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a 2 years’ experience as a Project Foreperson and vocational or technical training in carpentry; college degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field highly preferred. Successful candidates will be able to read plan sets, plan daily activities, be a strong communicator, provide sound guidance to subcontractors, plan material deliveries, keep the site clean, organized and safe, and assist with work activities as needed. Candidates must be skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools, and have a good understanding of safety procedures and guidelines. This position is physically demanding and requires constant standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting heavy materials.
