General Summary

The Sr. Property Accountant will be responsible for the accounting associated for several properties in a region. The Property Accountant reports to the Property Accounting Director.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the accrual books for properties within a region. Includes approving of coding on purchases, recording of journal entries, and following monthly closing procedures.
  • Assists management in the budget process. Includes interfacing with management for assumptions, inputting of budget within the system.
  • Reports to management on a quarterly basis of budget versus actual results.
  • Conducts monthly reconciliations of CAM and RET expenses with follow up billing to tenants. Position is also responsible for the assistance with information needed from individual tenant audits.
  • Works closely with the bookkeeper and management to attain an understanding of proper coding.
  • Assist with special projects


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Public Accounting experience preferred
  • 5-8 years of related experience


Skills

  • Advanced analytical skills and problem solving abilities
  • Expertise in prioritizing and resolving issues efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Experience in Yardi is preferred

Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
