Assistant Landscape Maintenance Supervisor

Overview
Realty Landscaping is seeking a reliable and experienced Skilled Landscape Laborer to join our growing team. The Assistant Landscape Maintenance Supervisor supports the Supervisor in overseeing daily landscape maintenance operations. This role helps lead crews, ensures quality and safety standards are met, and steps in to manage job sites in the Supervisor’s absence.

Job duties

• Assist in supervising and coordinating daily activities of landscape maintenance crews
• Help assign tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule
• Train and support crew members on proper techniques and equipment use
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure all employees complete required safety training prior to fieldwork
• Perform hands-on landscaping duties alongside the crew as needed
• Conduct job site inspections to ensure quality standards are met
• Communicate job progress, issues, and crew needs to the Supervisor
• Assist with time tracking, reporting, and documentation
• Address minor customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary
• Step in to lead the crew when the Supervisor is unavailable

Skills

• 1–3 years of landscape maintenance experience required
• Prior leadership or crew lead experience required
• Ability to operate professional-grade landscaping tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Experience with snow/ice removal, including operation of relevant equipment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of landscaping equipment, materials, and best practices
• Ability to follow direction and take initiative when needed
• Valid driver’s license required
• MEC required or must be obtained upon hire
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• OSHA Certification a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and equipment operation

Pay Range

$27.00-$30.00/hr, $40.50-$45.00/hr OT

Weekly pay

Raise at employer’s discretion
