Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Membership Director to lead our membership growth initiatives. This role is pivotal in expanding our member base and enhancing member engagement through strategic outreach and relationship management. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of sales acumen, marketing expertise, and strong leadership skills to effectively drive our membership goals.
Membership Department Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and support the membership team, ensuring clear goals and accountability.
- Ensure members receive timely, professional, and high-quality service.
- Oversee membership onboarding, renewals, compliance, and records management.
- Develop and implement new programs, services, and benefits to enhance member engagement and satisfaction.
- Manage and co-manage 2–3 member-driven committees, fostering collaboration and volunteer leadership.
- Collaborate with staff on events, communications, and initiatives that strengthen member value.
Professional Standards Oversight
- Oversee the administration of Professional Standards in compliance with local, state, and national association regulations.
- Ensure due process, confidentiality, and fairness in the handling of member-related ethics and arbitration matters.
- Work closely with volunteer leaders and legal counsel to uphold organizational integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA designation preferred but not required.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting/financial management experience, with nonprofit or association experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supervising staff and managing cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite; database or AMS (Association Management Software) experience a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a member-focused mindset.
- Familiarity with association governance, nonprofit finance, or real estate industry practices is an advantage.
