VDC Manager - Mechanical

RealREPP, a national full-service recruiting firm, is partnering with a well-established mechanical subcontractor based in Tamarac, FL to assist in hiring an experienced VDC Manager! This will be a crucial addition to the team as they work on large-scale mechanical projects. Prior experience in VDC leadership at a mechanical subcontractor is required. Experience on large-scale mechanical projects required (hospitals preferred).

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to read contract drawings & submittals
• Prepare shop/detail drawings using Revit
• Ability to perform material take offs
• Confirm & maintain quality
• Develop pipe layout & isometric drawings
• Develop/maintain HVAC & plumbing piping part families
• Make coordination changes to drawings
• In depth understanding of codes & installation
• Lead VDC team
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• 8 years VDC experience required
• Experience in leadership role
• Experience with mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal
• Proficiency with Navisworks & Revit MEP
• Experience on large-scale projects (hospitals preferred)
• Effective communication & leadership skills
