You will drive strategy on high‑severity claims, mentor junior examiners, and work closely with outside counsel, reinsurers, and executive leadership to ensure timely, cost‑effective resolutions.

You will drive strategy on high‑severity claims, mentor junior examiners, and work closely with outside counsel, reinsurers, and executive leadership to ensure timely, cost‑effective resolutions.
What You’ll Do
- Own Complex Files – Lead investigation, coverage analysis, reserving, negotiation, and settlement for large, litigated GL claims across multiple jurisdictions.
- Direct External Partners – Manage field adjusters, defense counsel, investigators, and other vendors; evaluate invoices and legal spend for accuracy.
- Strategic Reserving & Reporting – Set and adjust reserves, track reinsurance aggregates, and deliver executive‑level reports with minimal oversight.
- Risk Transfer & Recovery – Pursue subrogation, third‑party recoveries, and reinsurance offsets to optimize loss costs.
- Mentor & Coach – Serve as a technical resource, reviewing work product and elevating the claims expertise of less‑senior examiners.
- Compliance & Best Practices – Ensure files meet federal, state, and company guidelines; recommend process improvements that elevate claims performance.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
- AIC, CPCU, or comparable designation preferred
- 5 years progressive GL claims experience handling complex, litigated losses
- Familiarity with public/affordable‑housing risks
- Active all‑lines adjuster license and ability to secure non‑resident licenses
- Experience mentoring claims staff
- Deep coverage‑analysis and litigation‑management expertise
- Exceptional written/verbal communication: able to draft concise, executive‑level reportsSolid grasp of case law and statutes in multiple jurisdictions
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without present or future sponsorship.
Work Environment & Physical Expectations

- Prolonged computer use; occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs (files, laptops, etc.).

Salary : $85,000 - $105,000
