This Logistics Manager will oversee logistics operations at a new MEP fabrication site, managing a team and driving efficiency and innovation in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
This Logistics Manager will oversee logistics operations at a new MEP fabrication site, managing a team and driving efficiency and innovation in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a proven logistics professional who excels at optimizing operations, leading people, and maintaining exceptional standards for safety, accuracy, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee vehicle traffic and all shipments in and out of the facility, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage local logistics movements between on-campus and off-site facilities.
- Lead and develop a team of Supervisors and unionized logistics personnel, fostering collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Drive process efficiency and innovation across all logistics activities.
- Evaluate vendor and carrier performance and provide actionable feedback to optimize service quality.
- Partner with operations teams to manage inbound shipments from international suppliers.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies, compliance requirements, and company standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and data tracking related to logistics operations.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules for vehicles, trailers, and logistics assets to ensure reliability and compliance.
- 5 years of logistics experience, including team leadership and operations management.
- Associate’s degree or higher in a related field required.
- Proven experience managing unionized teams or similar workforce structures preferred.
- Background in FedEx, DSL, or related logistics operations is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; ability to interpret and report logistics metrics effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Salary : $72,000 - $90,000
