Assistant Project Manager-Federal Construction

The selected Assistant Project Manager will be a key addition to the team supporting DOD construction projects. Prior experience representing the GC as a Project Engineer or APM on commercial or federal construction projects is required for serious consideration. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating closely with Superintendents and QC personnel to help drive three week look-aheads
• Monitoring work progress and compliance from all selected subcontractors
• Assisting with material procurement and vendor quotes
• Assisting with purchase orders and tracking long-lead items
• Utilizing Bluebeam for plan review, markups, as-builts and coordination
• Proactively identifying and escalating issues that could impact the established project budget and timeline
• Preparing and tracking RFIs, submittals, and other project logs
• Assisting with change documentation, meeting action items, O&M manuals, warranties and project closeout
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in commercial or federal construction
• Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline from an accredited institution
• Familiarity with basic AutoCAD functionality
• Prior experience with RFIs and change orders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines to ensure that project milestones are achieved

• Salary 100-120k (based on experience and certifications)
