These positions require knowledge of MODAPTS and will be for Industrial Engineers with a degree and 3 years of experience. We are specifically looking for engineers with Ford assembly experience. These positions will primarily be focused on automotive launch and productivity improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience with time studies, line balancing, warehouse operations, internal logistics, and Lean Manufacturing applications.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Learn customer requirements and ensure that they are met
  • Perform operational data gathering at the customers location
  • Conducts time studies to determine accurate data for capacity and staffing analysis.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement cost cutting projects and process improvements.
  • Develop initiatives which will simplify processes and reduce inventory, labor, and materials costs.
  • Coordinate with other team members and report progress on a regular basis.
  • Develop, analyze and troubleshoot production processes using engineering tools, methods and techniques.
  • Engineer processes to optimize product flow, reduce variation, streamline operations and support cost cutting initiatives.
  • Provide support to production operations in the areas of equipment, layout, tooling, fixtures, and machines.
  • Responsible for project management and planning.
  • Ensure processes conform to Lean Production practices by evaluating new and existing processes and implementing solutions to improve productivity and quality.
  • Take an active role in the development & implementation of a Lean Strategy as it applies to layout, work instructions, and work flow.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and assist with process changes.
  • Interface with all aspects of operations including quality, materials and maintenance
  • Effectively able present ideas to management.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Stellantis OEM Industrial Engineering experience is a plus
  • Automotive plant experience a must
  • Good problem solver
  • Demonstrates leadership aptitude
  • Be organized
  • Lean and Continuous Improvement experience (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, Flow, Time study, Pull/Kanban systems, VSM, etc.)
  • Ability to take original time studies using MODAPTs
  • Ability to rebalance workloads within a production environment
  • 3 years Industrial or Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience with CAD (AutoCAD is preferred)
  • Flow Planner, Factory Flow or other simulation software is a plus
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Be able to travel to job sites when need arises
  • Able to work with minimal or no supervision
  • Strong skills in written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrates ability to set and achieve goals with minimum supervision
  • Strong presentation, analytical, and computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
