Role Description The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling, editing, and refining video content for digital commercial and corporate projects, ensuring a cohesive narrative and high production value. Day-to-day tasks include organizing raw footage, selecting and cutting clips, applying transitions and effects, color grading, integrating motion graphics, and preparing final files for delivery across multiple platforms. The role involves close collaboration with producers, directors, and other creatives to maintain project timelines and align output with client goals and brand guidelines. This is a full-time hybrid role based in El Segundo, CA, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing, including experience handling raw footage and creating polished deliverables.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to achieve consistent, high-quality visual tone across projects.
- Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics that enhance storytelling and support brand messaging.
- Experience with professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
- Solid understanding of sound design basics, file formats, codecs, and delivery standards for digital platforms.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with openness to feedback and iterative creative processes.
- Relevant experience in commercial, corporate, or documentary-style video work; a portfolio or showreel is required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
