Position Overview:
This position assists staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems.
The position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to Realauction Staff and serves as the initial point of contact when issues arise involving desktop/laptop computers and related software. The employee in this position also assists in the maintenance and testing of desktop/laptop computers and associated equipment. The position’s responsibilities require independent analyses, communication and problem solving.
The successful Candidate must display the following attributes:
· Strong knowledge in Microsoft Windows platforms and familiarity with Active Directory.
· Strong knowledge in Apple MacOS and IOS.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange Online and Outlook.
· Familiarity of LAN/WAN configurations to include experience with physical switches, Internet & Spam firewalls and VPNs.
· Hardware & software troubleshooting skills.
· Operating System Imaging and Deployment using Microsoft Endpoint Management / Intune / Autopilot.
· Maintains quality customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and is a team player with the ability to work well independently.
· Must possess above average organization skills, excellent communication skills, and can demonstrate problem solving skills.
· Considered an out of the box thinker and displays a strong willingness to learn.
· Microsoft Teams and Teams Voice system knowledge a plus.
· A broad knowledge and a Jack of All Trades with a desire to be hands on and not scared to get their hands dirty.
Duties and Responsibilities
Works under the direction of the Senior Systems and Network Engineer; this position requires excellent customer service and organizational skills to support administrative personnel, department supervisors, and staff. Promote a positive work environment by maintaining respectful interactions with internal customers. This position requires the ability to function successfully in both team and independent work environments.
The position also:
· Assists staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
· Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software and alarm system
· Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, and administrative systems.
· Maintenance of Hardware asset inventories
· Trains and orients staff on use of Desktop hardware and software.
· Installation and configuration of Desktop Operating systems
· Recommends and /or performs upgrades on desktop systems to ensure longevity.
· Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for Desktop/Laptop purchases.
· Responsible for implementation, maintenance and testing of Back-up Power Supplies.
· Serves as the initial point of contact when issues arise involving resources at the Plantation facility.
· Performs initial troubleshooting steps to determine root cause of problems. When problems involve network access or core systems, reporting such problems and any initial troubleshooting steps taken to Senior Systems\Network Engineer for resolution.
· Support Ubiquity Access for door entry for staff. Includes creating key fobs, importing photos for facial identity and pin numbers.
· Other duties as seen fit by the Director of Information Technology and the Senior Systems/Network Engineer.
Education, Skills, and Knowledge
Associates degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent industry experience is required. A minimum of one industry standard certifications is required.
· Strong communications skills, especially in written documentation
· IT support experience with hardware (desktop\laptops), printers, Windows 10/11 configured in active directory network, Microsoft office applications, Adobe applications, printers, anti-virus application and remote desktop
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay: From $40,000 per year
