Principal Systems Engineer NPD Med Tech - Minneapolis - Hybrid - Permanent up to $150k base bonus

The company is actively investing in next-generation platforms and sustaining engineering across a broad portfolio of Class II and III electromechanical systems. This team is onsite 3 days a week. In this role, you'll serve as Principal Systems Engineer, driving both new product development and sustaining initiatives. Lead full product lifecycle development in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, driving requirements definition, risk analysis, and traceability across complex electromechanical systems. Shape technical strategy through design reviews while ensuring strict compliance with FDA, ISO, and IEC design control standards.
Requirements
- Engineering degree
- 5 years of experience in electromechanical product development in a regulated environment
- Systems engineering experience preferably in the medical device space
- Experience in a technical lead capacity
- Expertise in requirements management & hands on system testing
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills - ability to influence technical decisions and operate effectively in cross-functional teams
