Job Title: Materials Manager
Location: Rahway, NJ
Salary: Up to $150,000
About the Role:
We are seeking a Materials Manager to lead strategic oversight and hands-on management of material planning, procurement, inventory control, and logistics. This role ensures efficient production operations, aligns with business objectives, and meets customer delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct purchasing strategy for all direct and indirect materials
- Develop long-term supply chain strategies aligned with production goals
- Lead a team supporting factory production and facility operations
- Monitor material obsolescence and coordinate with engineering
- Track KPIs: inventory cost, material productivity, late POs, PO volume, OTD
- Manage supplier performance and compliance
- Optimize inventory accuracy and cycle count programs
- Drive ERP/MRP process improvements
- Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions
- Mentor and train materials and procurement staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in supply chain/materials control
- Strong Excel and ERP/MRP experience
- Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills
- Must be a U.S. person (ITAR compliance)
