Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Rahway NJ - Onsite
Compensation: Up to $180,000 base salary 15% bonus

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead all areas of financial reporting and accounting operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about process improvement and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee general accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and financial reporting
- Act as ERP (Epicor) super-user and provide training to staff
- Liaise with internal and external accounting teams to ensure consistency in reporting and reconciliations
- Support budget and forecasting activities
- Lead year-end audit preparation and ensure compliance with all banking and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement new procedures to enhance workflow and efficiency
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, handling personnel issues as needed
- Provide financial perspective for capital projects and cost control initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5 years of experience in an accounting environment, preferably in manufacturing
- Prior supervisory experience in financial reporting/general ledger
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word
- ERP (Epicor) experience highly preferred
- Cost accounting expertise
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- US CITIZENSHIP OR GREENCARD REQUIRED
