Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and steering components.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical problems effectively.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
- Execute precise wheel alignments and vehicle suspension system repairs to ensure optimal handling and safety.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
- Document all repairs thoroughly in service records and communicate findings clearly to customers or service advisors.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology and ability to calibrate these systems post-repair.
- Proficiency in reading automotive schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic codes.
- Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and vehicle electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance procedures including wheel alignment and suspension system repair.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
