Summary
The Human Resources Intern supports the HR team in day-to-day human resources operations. This role provides an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions, including onboarding, employee records management, content development and HR compliance. The intern will work closely with the HR team to support administrative processes, assist with employee-related initiatives, and gain exposure to general HR practices and policies.
This is a summer internship.
Job Functions
- Help with training & development tasks, such as creation of job aids and SOPs, and assisting with onboarding new hires
- Support new hire and employee transitions by helping prepare paperwork and orientation materials
- Assist in organizing and updating employee records and basic data entry
- Help share internal communications, announcements, and updates with employees
- Support the employee engagement committee by helping plan and assist with monthly events and initiatives
- Provide general support with HR programs such as benefits and employee questions under supervision
- Help ensure HR documentation is organized and up to date
- Participate in projects and team initiatives assigned
- Learn about HR policies, procedures, and best practices through hands-on experience, meetings, and training.
Preferred Talents
- Basic understanding of human resources principles, employment practices, or labor regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel; familiarity with HR systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Qualifications Preferred
Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or other related field.
