About the Role:
The Housekeeping Lead at Lodge of the Wabash plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. This is a working position that is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping and laundry team, ensuring that all areas of the facility meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The Housekeeping Lead will implement effective cleaning protocols and schedules, while also training and mentoring team members to enhance their skills. Additionally, this role involves conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly to maintain the facility's reputation. Ultimately, the Housekeeping Lead contributes significantly to the overall comfort and well-being of residents, making it a vital position within the care center.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in housekeeping or custodial services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a healthcare or residential care environment.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Responsibilities:
- Floor work at least three days a week
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping and laundry staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of all areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement cleaning/laundry schedules and protocols to optimize workflow and maintain high standards.
- Address any resident or staff concerns related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
