Position Summary
The Human Resources & Public Relations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day human resources operations while leading the company’s internal and external engagement efforts. This role serves as a key culture ambassador, supporting employees, strengthening community relationships, and promoting the company as an employer of choice.
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm
Salary range: $60,000-$80,000

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources

Manage core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and policy administration

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Maintain employee records and HR documentation

Support management and employees with HR-related guidance and best practices

Assist with benefits administration and employee communications
Public Relations & Community Engagement

Arrange and coordinate all employee events, including company celebrations, recognition programs, and team-building activities

Attend career fairs, job fairs, and recruiting events as a company representative

Participate in appropriate local organizations, industry groups, and community events to promote the company

Maintain relationships with local high schools and community colleges, particularly for trade and workforce development programs

Manage and grow the company’s high school and community college internship program

Support employer branding efforts and positive public visibility within the community
Work Environment & Expectations

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, public relations, or a related role

Working knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to represent the company professionally with employees, students, educators, and community partners
Preferred Qualifications

Professional HR certification such as:

PHR (Professional in Human Resources)

SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional)

Experience coordinating employee events and community outreach initiatives
