Position Summary

The Human Resources & Public Relations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day human resources operations while leading the company’s internal and external engagement efforts. This role serves as a key culture ambassador, supporting employees, strengthening community relationships, and promoting the company as an employer of choice.


Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm

Salary range: $60,000-$80,000

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Manage core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and policy administration

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation

  • Support management and employees with HR-related guidance and best practices

  • Assist with benefits administration and employee communications

Public Relations & Community Engagement

  • Arrange and coordinate all employee events, including company celebrations, recognition programs, and team-building activities

  • Attend career fairs, job fairs, and recruiting events as a company representative

  • Participate in appropriate local organizations, industry groups, and community events to promote the company

  • Maintain relationships with local high schools and community colleges, particularly for trade and workforce development programs

  • Manage and grow the company’s high school and community college internship program

  • Support employer branding efforts and positive public visibility within the community

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Combination of office-based work and community engagement

  • Occasional evening or weekend attendance at events or career fairs

  • Collaborative role requiring discretion, professionalism, and initiative

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, public relations, or a related role

  • Working knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to represent the company professionally with employees, students, educators, and community partners


Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional HR certification such as:

    • PHR (Professional in Human Resources)

    • SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional)

    • or equivalent HR certification

  • Experience coordinating employee events and community outreach initiatives

  • Experience working with internship programs, educational institutions, or workforce development organizations

  • Strong presentation and networking skills

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
