Position Overview

RLCA is seeking a dedicated and passionate Upper School Teacher for the 2026–2027 school
year. This is a mixed Middle and High School position focused on teaching 8th Grade Science
and High School Geometry.
We are looking for someone who loves teaching, leads with a strong Christian faith, and
connects well with students at both the middle and high school level. This role focuses on
teaching upper school subjects while also nurturing students’ spiritual growth.
Our ideal candidate is committed to creating an engaging, Christ-honoring classroom
environment where students are challenged, supported, and inspired.

What You’ll Do

• Teach 8th Grade Science and High School Geometry based on RLCA academic

• Create a welcoming, structured, and Christ-centered classroom environment
• Adapt lessons to meet a variety of learning styles and academic levels
• Support students’ spiritual and academic development
• Communicate consistently with students, families, and staff
• Serve as a positive Christian role model in both word and action
• Participate in professional development and collaborate with colleagues

What You’ll Need

• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Passion for teaching and mentoring upper school students
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Teaching certificate and CPR certification (preferred)
• A team-oriented mindset and a heart for Christian education
• Alignment with RLCA’s mission and values

Background Screening Requirement

All candidates considered for employment with Real Life Christian Academy are required to
complete a fingerprint-based background screening in accordance with Florida Department of
Education requirements. This process is administered through the Florida Department of Law
Enforcement (FDLE) Clearinghouse. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion
of all required screenings and clearances.
