What the Commercial Property Manager will do:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of commercial office, retail, and/or industrial properties.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, tenants, vendors, and contractors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, ensuring requests and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Conduct routine property inspections and coordinate preventative maintenance and capital improvement projects.
- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets while monitoring overall property performance.
- Review financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tenant billings, and budget variances.
- Coordinate vendor contracts, service agreements, and project completion to ensure quality and cost-effective results.
- Oversee lease administration, tenant move-ins and move-outs, and compliance with lease obligations.
- Partner with maintenance teams and service providers to ensure properties remain well-maintained and operate efficiently.
- Prepare owner reports and provide regular updates on financial performance, property operations, and ongoing projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve operations, enhance tenant satisfaction, and maximize property value.
Commercial Property Manager requirements
- Three or more years of commercial property management experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial property operations, budgeting, CAM reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar property management software is preferred.
- Real Estate License preferred or the ability to obtain one if required.
