AN Real Estate manages rental properties throughout Washington, DC, and we are looking for a reliable, versatile, and hardworking person to join our small team.
This is not a position where you will do the same thing every day. We are looking for someone who enjoys a wide variety of hands-on work and is comfortable moving from one task or project to another. Our work ranges from property maintenance and repairs to renovations, turnovers, punch-list work, and general construction.
Responsibilities may include:
- General carpentry
- Hanging and finishing drywall
- Interior and exterior painting
- Caulking, patching, and touch-up work
- Punch-list and finishing work
- General property repairs and maintenance
- Cleaning rental properties between tenants
- Assisting with renovation and construction projects
- Picking up and delivering materials
- Keeping job sites, tools, and work areas organized and clean
- Troubleshooting and handling miscellaneous repairs as they arise
- Helping with whatever is needed to get a property or project completed
The biggest thing we are looking for is versatility. You don't necessarily need to be an expert in every trade, but you should be comfortable with construction and property maintenance, know how to use tools, take pride in your work, and be willing to tackle a wide variety of tasks.
Because we are a small company, everyone pitches in. Some days may involve carpentry or drywall, while another day could involve painting, completing a punch list, making repairs at a rental property, picking up materials, cleaning up a job site, or helping finish a renovation.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, takes initiative, pays attention to detail, and can work independently when needed.
A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required, as you will need to travel between properties and job sites throughout Washington, DC.
