Responsibilities
The Acquisitions Analyst position will assist in the acquisition of investment properties across various markets and will entail the following:
- Creating proformas using Argus and Excel
- Drafting offers
- Reviewing leases, purchase contracts, and other legal documents
- Collecting and analyzing due diligence information
- Market analysis and forecasting
- Creating loan and equity request packages
- Creating investment committee packages to present to senior executives
- Business analysis
- Creating contract exhibits
- Work closely with the acquisitions, asset management, legal, and other teams to assist with the many other duties involved in acquiring commercial assets
- Demonstrated understanding of financial topics and experience underwriting commercial real estate assets
- Proven Excel skills and competency utilizing complex formulas
- Proven writing and verbal communication skills; with sound judgment are a must
- Knowledge of Argus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to navigate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Limited travel to visit potential acquisition deals is required

- Excellent MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, communication, and writing skills
- Strong Argus valuation software skills
- Interest and/or experience in commercial real estate investments
- 1-3 years of commercial real estate underwriting and investment experience
- Strong research skills
- Ability to comply with company rules and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with internal and external parties through two-way verbal and written communication (speech, hearing, and writing)
- Ability to analyze and communicate finance and accounting information
- Ability to work long hours
- Ability to work independently and be able to accurately discern when to refer matters to supervisor
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal communication
- Ability to travel
