Responsibilities:
The purpose of this Structural Steel Engineering role is to design and manage Engineering Projects from the conceptual stages through approval, detail, construction and finally the installation process.
This role will run engineering calculations for heat stress, deflection, and other tests for our onsite position at our Macedonia, Ohio facility.
Mechanical Engineering responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- As our new ETS Schaefer Structural Steel Engineer, you will be responsible for the drawings and designs of our structural steel & lining systems.
- This role is the conduit between our sales and our customers. So, we are looking for a relationship builder.
- Strong communication skills and creativity are paramount for this role. Solid AutoCAD skills is a must.
- This role is responsible for working with customers to develop specifications, take field measurements, and to answer questions from stakeholders.
Structural Steel Engineer - Mechanical Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanicalor Civil Engineering REQUIRED
- Two plus years of design experience desirable
- Experience in basic drafting skills to include typical drawing layout is required
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong knowledge of computer software including Word, Excel, Database programs, Email.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
Desired
- Prior experience with industrial furnace application and refractory design desirable
- Experience in high temperature ceramic fiber applications and designs desirable
- Ability to travel when required. Minimum levels of travel are expected.
