Job Summary
We are currently hiring professional Unarmed Security Guards to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance systems, responding to incidents, and enforcing site policies.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular patrols (indoor and outdoor) to deter and detect suspicious activity.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems for irregularities or potential threats.
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification and credentials.
- Document and report incidents, hazards, and violations according to company procedures.
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical situations, or security breaches.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and guests.
- Enforce all safety, security, and behavioral policies on-site.
- Conduct safety checks of equipment, doors, windows, and locks.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and emergency responders when necessary.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Valid Security Guard License (per Washington State requirements)
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and alertness
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions
Preferred:
- Prior experience in security (Prior experience is not always required)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (a plus)
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Day shift / Overnight shift
- Weekend and holiday availability may be required
Working Conditions
- Indoor assignments
- Walking, standing and physical activity may be required
- May be stationed at a desk or on continuous foot patrol depending on site needs
