Job Summary
The Coordinator, Quality & Regulatory is responsible for maintaining the quality and regulatory certifications and documentation. The role is also responsible for supporting quality audits and the overall quality control program. This role will include approx. 30% travel.
Job Responsibilities
· Interpret and make effective use of technical, legal, and food regulatory documents, information, and data.
· Managing the company’s certifications for its products (i.e. NSF Certifications, Kosher, Gluten-Free, Organic).
· Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
· Collect test data and draft quality reports.
· Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
· Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting verification of processes and procedures including alerting out of compliance results.
· Assist in administering the Company's Quality Program in accordance with customer and company requirements to ensure all work is conducted within established Quality guidelines, including:
- Sensory evaluation, visual inspection, and analysis of finished product samples.
- Assist in troubleshooting product discrepancies.
- Complete manufacturing & ingredient supplier audits.
- Create & maintain production verification documents.
Requirements
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field.
· Experience: 2 – 3 years of quality and regulatory experience in an FDA-regulated industry.
· A working knowledge of the following:
o Food safety & quality systems.
o Foreign material prevention and detection.
o Food regulatory requirements.
o Third party certification and auditing processes.
- A background in manufacturing and processing environments is desired.
