Responsibilities

- Lead outdoor activities that encourage exploration, sensory play, and environmental stewardship
- Foster a safe, nurturing classroom environment with effective behavior management strategies tailored to young children
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop lesson plans that integrate literacy education, math concepts, and physical education within outdoor settings
- Maintain detailed documentation of each child's progress in accordance with childhood development standards and mandated reporting laws
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's growth, milestones, and classroom experiences
- Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations, health and safety protocols, and best practices in early childhood education
Skills
- Willing to implement a curriculum development focused on early childhood education and outdoor learning environments
- Experience working with children, especially toddlers, in classroom or daycare settings
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques suited for young children in active outdoor spaces
- Familiarity with child development instruction, behavior management, and childcare best practices
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
