What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Specialist (Part-Time, Flexible Hours) position at Ready Roofing & Solar?
Ready Roofing & Solar is a fast-growing Dallas company with 54 years of history and big plans ahead. We’re working through a 5-year growth plan that runs to 2030, and we’d love to tell you more about it when we talk.
Our Mission
We use our industry expertise to turn storm damage repairs into a positive experience, always with integrity.
Our Core Values
These principles guide how we work, on every project and with every customer:
- Communication. We talk early and talk often. No surprises, no guessing.
- Respect. We treat people the way we’d want to be treated.
- Accountability. We own the outcome, good or bad.
- Integrity. We say what we’ll do and do what we say. We keep our word.
- Growth. We strive to improve every day.
We’re looking for sharp, hardworking “people people” who get energized by getting things done and seeing results.
About the Role
The Administrative Specialist keeps key parts of our business moving, from customer outreach to day-to-day office operations. You’ll split your time between the field, driving local neighborhoods, and our Dallas office near 635 and I-75. Over time, some work from home may be possible.
The role is currently 25–30 hours per week, with flexibility around school hours and evenings. For the right person, it could grow into a permanent, full-time position.
What You’ll Do
- Identify opportunities. With training from our team, drive residential neighborhoods to spot properties that may need our services.
- Run our letter campaigns. Research property owner information, then create and prepare mailers (print, hand-address, stuff, stamp) and get them out the door.
- Serve as our Roof Maintenance Liaison. Call past customers to schedule free roof inspections for our sales team.
- Be a first point of contact. Answer incoming calls and direct them to the right person, with a professional, friendly approach.
- Keep the office running smoothly. Handle whatever comes up, like updating a presentation, coordinating with building maintenance, or fixing a billing issue with a vendor.
What You Bring
- Communication: You’re a proactive communicator who keeps customers and teammates informed by phone, text and email, before anyone has to ask.
- Respect: You’re friendly and professional with every customer, caller and teammate.
- Accountability: You’re highly organized and detail-oriented, with neat, legible handwriting (our letters are hand-addressed). You can manage several priorities and follow through on each one.
- Integrity: You’re dependable and do what you say you’ll do, on time.
- Growth: You solve problems well, spot issues early and look for better ways to get things done.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel, and typing at 60 WPM
- Reliable, consistent transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent
