What You’ll Do
- Prescription Processing – Receive and process prescriptions and refill requests accurately using pharmacy software.
- Medication Preparation – Measure, count, package, and prepare compliance-packaged medications (bingo cards, multi-dose cards).
- Client Communication – Answer incoming calls professionally, resolve inquiries, and maintain open communication with LTC providers.
- Inventory & Organization – Monitor stock levels, ensure timely restocking, and maintain proper medication storage.
- Regulatory Compliance – Maintain accurate prescription records and follow all legal and internal protocols.
- Team Collaboration – Work closely with pharmacists and fellow technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
- Additional Duties – Support pharmacy operations by performing other assigned tasks as needed.
- Physical Requirement – Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Current Washington State Pharmacy Technician Certification (Required)
- Pharmacy Experience Preferred – 1 year of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, but we value dedication and a willingness to learn!
- Strong Attention to Detail – Accuracy is key when preparing and packaging medications.
- Tech-Savvy – Comfortable with computers, pharmacy software (QS1 and Docutrack preferred), and Microsoft applications.
- Excellent Math & Analytical Skills – Must be comfortable with calculations to ensure correct dosages.
- Great Communication Skills – Ability to interact professionally with clients, LTC providers, and internal teams.
- Team Player – Work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently walk, sit, stand, use their hands for handling or feeling objects, and communicate effectively. Occasionally, the employee may need to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
