A Day in the Life of a Superstar Accounting Specialist
- Administer company gas cards for fleet drivers and track usage records
- Access accounting systems to respond to customer and vendor account inquiries
- Enter, debit, credit, and reconcile accounting transactions using specialized accounting software and spreadsheets
- Perform Accounts Payable (AP) functions including reviewing, coding, and processing vendor invoices and material tickets
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation before payment processing
- Perform Accounts Receivable (AR) functions including preparing invoices, posting payments, monitoring aging reports, and assisting with collections
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with month-end closing activities and other accounting projects as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Associates degree in accounting or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with accounting software “Ponderosa” is a plus
- 5 years of manufacturing accounting, bookkeeping, or AP/AR experience preferred
