Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mobile Diesel Technician to join our team. The mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered trucks, trailers, forklifts, and equipment at customer locations or roadside, using a fully equipped service truck to minimize downtime and keep vehicles safely operating.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, trucks, and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as fuel systems, exhaust systems, transmissions, and electrical wiring.
- Conduct test drives to verify repairs and ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all repairs performed.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Assist with on-site repairs at customer locations or job sites as needed.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and maintained in a safe manner.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems.
- Relevant certifications or technical training in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair preferred.
- Forklift technician qualifications are desirable, especially if working with forklifts or similar machinery.
- Prior welding experience with aluminum and steel.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL license is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
