About Ready Equipment
Ready Equipment is a family-owned and operated equipment rental business in Meredith, New Hampshire. We run a small, tight-knit team that genuinely enjoys working together in a positive, supportive environment. Our focus is simple: keep our customers’ rented equipment running strong so they can get their jobs done. If you value being part of a close crew where your ideas matter and your work is appreciated every day, you’ll fit right in.
About the Role
We’re not just looking for someone to turn wrenches — we’re looking for a skilled problem-solver who takes real pride in keeping our fleet reliable. You’ll get the perfect mix of shop work and field autonomy, handling a wide variety of equipment: aerial lifts, telehandlers, skid steers, mini excavators, and more. No two days are the same, and you’ll have the freedom to tackle interesting challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on light- to heavy-duty rental equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance to keep machines safe and maximize uptime for our customers
- Provide on-site field service and emergency repairs at job sites across the region
- Use your welding and fabrication skills to fix machines, buckets, and attachments
- Work closely with our small team — your input on shop processes and equipment health is genuinely valued
Who We’re Looking For
Experience is important, but the right attitude and work ethic are what really make someone stand out here. We’re excited about candidates who:
- Have 2–3 years of professional experience repairing heavy equipment, hydraulics, diesel engines, trucks, and trailers (more experienced applicants will be compensated accordingly)
- Bring strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and basic computer diagnostics
- Are reliable, punctual, and committed to finishing what they start
- Put the customer first and take pride in representing our family business
- Hold a valid driver’s license (a CDL Class A or B is a big plus)
If you’re technically sharp, a problem solver, enjoy variety in your workday, and thrive in a casual-yet-professional small-team setting, we’d love to talk.
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in taking good care of the people who take care of our fleet:
- Very competitive pay based on your experience - we pay in line with dealerships
- 401(k) with company matching
- Comprehensive health, life, and disability insurance
- Paid time off and paid holidays from day one
- Performance-based bonuses and employee discounts, including free equipment rentals
- Boot allowance and paid uniforms
Schedule & Work-Life Balance
- Standard Monday–Friday schedule (typically 8–9 hour days)
- Weekend on-call rotation during the busy season — we plan it well in advance and encourage teammates to trade shifts so life stays balanced
