Tax Manager

Ready CPA is a growing New Orleans CPA firm. We are expanding our tax practice and adding a Tax Manager to lead engagements, review staff work, and serve as a trusted advisor to an established book of business and individual clients. This is an in-office role with room to grow as the firm expands.

What you'll do

•     Review and prepare individual, partnership, S-corp, C-corp, trust, and estate and non-profit returns prepared by staff; sign off on quality and accuracy.

•     Manage a portfolio of clients as their primary point of contact — planning, projections, IRS/state notices, and year-round advisory.

•     Lead tax planning and consulting engagements, including entity structuring and multi-state issues.

•     Mentor, train, and develop tax staff and seniors; manage workflow and deadlines through busy season.

•     Support a smooth transition and retention of clients joining the firm through a recent practice acquisition.

•     Keep current on federal and Louisiana tax law and identify planning opportunities for clients.

What we're looking for

•     CPA license (active) required.

•     5–7 years of tax experience in public accounting, with at least 2 years reviewing returns and supervising staff.

•     Strong technical knowledge across individual and business taxation; comfort with multi-entity and closely-held business clients.

•     Excellent client-relationship and communication skills — this role is client-facing.

•     Experience with ProSeries and GoSystem Tax RS required; QuickBooks a plus.

•     Bachelor's in accounting; Master's in Taxation a plus.
