Responsibilities

• Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs

• Deliver tutoring sessions in various subjects such as math (including algebra, geometry, calculus, differential equations), science (biology, chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry), engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical), computer science (data structures, machine learning), and related fields
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learners, including children, students with special education needs, and adult learners
• Manage classroom or virtual learning environments effectively to promote positive behavior and active participation
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations
• Maintain detailed records of tutoring sessions, student achievements, and areas for improvement
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, or program coordinators to support student development and address challenges

Requirements

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching across multiple disciplines; classroom experience is highly valued
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning techniques
• Proficiency with learning technology tools and digital resources for remote or in-person instruction
• Excellent communication skills tailored to different age groups and learning styles
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, teenagers, or adult learners in various settings
• Solid understanding of core subjects such as math (including trigonometry and statistics), science (anatomy, physiology), engineering principles (mechanical, electrical), computer science concepts (discrete math, data structures), and specialized fields like organic chemistry or genetics
• Familiarity with classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment
• Computer skills necessary for online tutoring platforms and educational software
• Knowledge of early childhood education practices for preschool or preschool-aged children
• Ability to adapt lessons for students with special needs or those requiring tailored instructional approaches

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
