The Director of Development:
- provides leadership for all campaign, major gifts, and related development program priorities, working in concert with the President of the Foundation, the Foundation Board of Directors, and the development staff.
- performs duties of a principal gift fundraiser, including cultivating donor relationships, soliciting gifts, and ensuring stewardship.
- works with development staff, Foundation, Reading Hospital and Tower Health Boards and assists the Foundation in building and maintaining momentum and focus for all who are engaged in fundraising efforts.
- develops prospect strategies with Reading Hospital leadership and senior development staff that are effective and aligned with Reading Hospital’s vision and mission, and ensures such strategies and systems are implemented.
- develops relationships with an ever-expanding network of philanthropic partners.
- creates a positive work environment that values professional development and promotes teamwork.
Qualifications
Education Requirements
- 4 year Bachelor's Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
- Must have fundraising experience
- Experience in an academic, research, or hospital/health care environment is preferred
