Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Robesonia, PA. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager who is hands-on, people-focused, and motivated by the opportunity to lead change in a complex manufacturing environment.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, the Purchasing Manager will take ownership of procuring the commercial components that go into each of our configure-to-order machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4-6 buyers and supply chain professionals.
- Establish clear priorities, workflows, and performance expectations
- Personally manage capital equipment and other high-value purchases
- Strengthen supplier relationships and improve delivery, cost, and quality performance
- Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Finance
- Improve purchasing processes, documentation, and ERP data accuracy
- Support domestic and international logistics coordination
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 5-8 years of leadership experience in purchasing, logistics, business operations, general management, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience leading, coaching, and developing team members, with a strong, people-first leadership approach
- Experience in custom, engineered, or make-to-order manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- ERP/MRP experience (SAP, Epicor, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
Preferred: Supply chain certifications (CSCP, CPIM, ISM), lean experience, Microsoft Dynamics 365
