Materials & Inventory Professional (Manufacturing)
Location: Greater Reading, PA
Schedule: First Shift
Role Clarification: This is not a high-volume warehouse or distribution center position. The role supports manufacturing operations, working with parts, assemblies, and production inventory, rather than retail or order-fulfillment warehousing.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Materials & Inventory professional to support our manufacturing operations by managing materials flow, inventory accuracy, and outbound shipping. This role partners closely with Quality Control, Engineering, Project Management, and Operations to ensure materials and finished products meet specifications and production schedules.
This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience working with manufactured parts and production inventory who is comfortable coordinating shipments through FedEx, UPS, and third-party/LTL carriers.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate manufacturing, shipping and receiving activities under the guidance of the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, part numbers, and specifications

Maintain accurate inventory records, locations, and quantities within Dynamics 365 ERP

Generate shipping orders, packing lists, labels, and Bills of Lading

Prepare outbound shipments using FedEx, UPS, and third-party/LTL logistics providers

Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to align material availability with production schedules

Support Quality Control activities, including incoming inspection, in-process checks, and finished goods verification

Participate in cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives

Requirements
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment supporting materials, inventory, shipping, or receiving functions

Experience working with manufactured parts, assemblies, and part-based inventory systems

Proficiency coordinating shipments via FedEx, UPS, and LTL/TPL carriers

Working knowledge of inventory control practices, including transaction accuracy and cycle counting

Ability to receive and verify materials against purchase orders, part numbers, and basic technical documentation

Experience working cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams

Proficiency using ERP systems, with experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 strongly preferred

Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment
