Job Title: General Warehouse Clerk

Department: All Depts.

Reports to: Manager/Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Performs general office duties to support all facets of warehouse operations.

Essential Functions: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.

• Schedule inbound loads of customer product, production materials and supplies to facilitate production needs.
• Schedule inbound/outbound shipments to meet customer due dates and requirements.
• Assure accurate verification of all counts, quantities, and descriptions of products and materials shipped and received.
• Facilitate replenishment of product and materials to production lines as needed.
• Process shipping/receiving transactions timely, including production issues, transfers and returns.
• Transact inventory movements using inventory control system as needed.
• Assist Operations management Team as needed.
• Interact with customers and vendors in a timely and professional manner.
• Work with both internal and external Customers to meet productions goals.
• Work overtime as required.
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned, directed or requested.
• Average to above average skills using Microsoft Office-Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Assist with production planning as needed.
• Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports as needed.
• Pay close attention to detail to ensure accurate information is being provided to Management.
• Accurately maintain documentation pertaining to shipping and receiving.
• Must be proficient in math.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One year of general warehouse office clerk experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and WMS systems.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends.

• Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Will frequently reach up and out.
• May frequently push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• May frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

• The work performed is in a factory environment
• The employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machinery
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels
