- Regular, reliable attendance is required as work cannot be performed remotely.
- Receives Bill of Lading from the driver and visually checks for accuracy.
- Enters in purchase order number, number of pallets, date of receipt, carrier, and product count into the computerized inventory system.
- Using the packing slip or invoice, breaks down delivery as specified and checks against packing slip by highlighting the quantity and title for accuracy of delivery.
- Verifies product against packing slip or invoice, scans (pallet/case label) license plate (LPN) into system to link product with location of product in the warehouse.
- Weights, measures length, width, depth of the product and enters the information into the inventory system.
- Verifies purchase order number, ISBN number, quantity of product received for accuracy in the inventory system.
- Attaches (pallet/case label) license plate sticker to the bottom right corner on both sides of the pallet for product identification for the equipment operators and tracking purposes.
- Must be able to follow safety rules for personal protection and the protection of others; including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Troubleshoots problems with invoice or purchase orders by utilizing the iSeries system.
- Other duties may be assigned, directed or requested.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of computerized inventory control system preferred.
- Must be able to stand up to 8-10 hours in a day.
- Must be able to walk 8-10 hours per day.
- Will occasionally climb.
- Will occasionally use pallet jacks or powered equipment to move pallets of product.
- Will frequently bend, stoop, reach up and out, crouch, kneel, and push/pull from 36-50 pounds.
- Will frequently carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally carry up to 50 pounds.
- Will occasionally have repetitive foot movement.
- Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping and/or fine hand manipulation.
- Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to stand; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to wear gloves occasionally.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, in English.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees of the organization.
- Ability to calculate basic math (subtraction, multiplication and addition)
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- The work performed is in a warehouse environment
- The employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machinery
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment
